Gathering Medical Supplies for Haiti

There Is so much for us to do to help in Haiti- so much from even before this terrible devastation. We at Everything Birth are doing as much as we can to help, and now we are asking for your help too. We have started hosting a midwifery “Cause of the Month”. While this is not exclusive to Haiti, it has opened some doors to relationships with organizations in Haiti. In particular, we have worked with Maison de Naissance. Although their birth center was not decimated by the earthquake, their supply chain was. For many of the non-profit agencies in Haiti, this is sadly the case. Getting necessary medical supplies is a challenge for the immediate areas, and even more challenging to get past there.
We have started collecting a variety of medical supplies to be sent down with a group of nurses next month.  You can order medical supplies directly from their wish list,  and enter Everything Birth, p.o. box 66781  falmouth, me 04105 in the ship to section.  Or you can make donation that will benefit these organizations directly by clicking here.
We are also creating some newborn packs to send down.  You can donate old baby items for our newborn packs.  Currently we are collecting baby hats, onesies, receiving blankets, booties, prefold diapers and diaperpins.  Please check your closets, many of us have a few of these things tucked in the back from many years ago, some of got 40 new receiving blankets at a baby shower that we know we won’t use.  Some of us have 48 prefolds we are still using, but can give one up to help a mom who has NO diapers at all.  If you wouldlike to participate in this drive, please send your items to:Everything Birth, inc.
